"We're not lost... Just a little... Turned around..." Knight muttered as he looked left and then right. He had chased a wayward 'mon down Route 103 and off the road, into the thicket, and now? He frowned with his hands on his hips. The sun had started to go down and he knew if he didn't get home before bedtime, his uncle and cousin were going to be worried.[break][break]
If only he had brought more than just Victor with him today. Perrin could have scouted around for him or Fitzwilliam would have hacked a path home. He smiled at the sword Pokémon and then looked around again.[break][break]
Maybe if he closed his eyes and listened, he would find the way home! Excellent idea![break][break]
He did just that and was almost certain he heard a fire...? Or something snapping... "This way!" He said with cheerful confidence to Victor, who floated close to his trainer. It wouldn't be great if they got separated.[break][break]
Without thinking twice, Knight hurried through the trees and towards the growing pool of light ahead of them, "Freedom!" He yelled and at the same time, he tripped over a tree root and came crashing through a bush, collecting mud and twigs along the way.

He'd taken the rest of his week off, tired and in desperate need of crawling into the forest. It was the best way he had of decompressing. And with Project Sapphire eating up half his time, and assisting PENELOPE LIVY on her own matters taking up the other half, he barely had time to think about subjects that weren't work. So he's taken Thursday and Friday and headed out somewhere remote. Nature was always a little more comforting than the city. At least, it was quieter. He enjoyed it with no company, able to clear his mind and empty his worries out of his skull.

After a few days of quiet, he'd almost forgotten what other people sounded like. Until something crashes through the underbrush, covered in all sorts of grime from the forest floor. HHad it yelled something beforehand? He stayed put, back resting against a stump, with the fire crackling before him. His Octillery however, is on alert, gurgling menacingly as she holds at the ready a HYDRO PUMP. [break][break]

"Uh." he looked over at the mud encrusted mess. "That was a pretty hard fall, huh?" he asked, testing to see if it was indeed human.

Knight was a little woozy from the tumble and only managed soft, faint groans, "Waauuh Mmmyuaaa?" Who knew what he was trying to say! Not even Victor had a clue and he was a very loyal Pokémon.[break][break]
All Kay knew at that moment was warm fire so he drifted over toward the campfire and plonked himself down on the ground. As he did, he managed to shuck off some of the mud, stones, twigs, grass, leaves and whatever else had stuck to him. Ugh, Thea was going to have to hose him down later.[break][break]
He helds his hands out to the warmth, "Thaaaaank youuuuu." He said in a rather eerie moan as he tried to recover from his ordeal. Victor stayed close to his side, wary.

The creature makes it out of the bushes with ease. Paxton and his partner share a look as they curl up, dirtied, around the fire. "Streenstrup I think-" but the Octopus is moving, blasting the stranger with water and dousing off most of whatever had it had rolled in. His Octillery looked ready to wring out the stranger but Paxton raised a hand to let her settle down. [break][break]

"Hey, you ok?" He asked, squinting as the flicker of flames and the lack of mud gave them a better picture of what they were dealing with. A kid? Definitely young but...how much? "You lost, kid?" he asked before beginning to rifle through his belongings for a spare towel or blanket. So much for relaxation away from civilization. It seemed like humanity had managed to find him regardless of his desire to be alone.
